There is nothing more enjoyable to me than to inspire young children to read, to write, and to love learning. I began my teaching career over 20 years ago. In addition to teaching reading and writing I have also been a culinary instructor. Cooking is my other passion. Denell Nunez Aida Pacheco, Kindergarten
I love encouraging students to be life long learners. It's important for me to nurture independence and confidence in all my students.
Nataly Padilla, Transitional Kindergarten

The best thing about teaching is making a positive impact on the kids' lives, and watching them grow into compassionate, intellectual learners. As Aristotle once said, educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all. When I'm not teaching, I'm hanging out with friends and family, going on hikes, testing my smarts at trivia, or finding new local restaurants across the beautiful Sonoma County.

Nataly Padilla Lisa Phipps, 5th Grade/Humanities

I have lived in Healdsburg for over 20 years. I have raised my two kids here and love everything this town has to offer, from the many parades to the free music! The FFA fair is my favorite weekend! I love spending as much time as possible in my garden when the weather is nice. If it's too cold, I will spend the day making quilts.
