Upcoming Construction Projects

Some exciting construction projects are about to get underway this summer using the bond dollars the Healdsburg community generously approved in 2016 and 2024.

Fitch Mountain Campus will be receiving some extra attention this summer: the buildings on campus will be painted and the school will receive a much needed, long-awaited renovation of its field. The FMC field will have a regulation U12 synthetic turf soccer field (with cork infill) as well as surrounding natural grass and landscaping incorporated. The fence will be moved to the perimeter of the field in order to secure it for recess and the school day. And to finish it off, a walking path will be installed with plenty of trees will be planted around it, providing much needed shade.

Other projects on the docket for this summer include the installation of a new monument sign and landscaping along the front of the campus at Healdsburg Junior High School, as well as work on the TK/Kinder wing at Healdsburg Elementary School. Now that school is out for summer break, our maintenance and construction crews can begin this work in earnest.

The district is also in the beginning stages of the project to renovate the pool on the HHS campus. The HUSD Board of Trustees chose a preliminary design, which you can see below. This design will move the road to go around the pool, opening up a larger courtyard and gathering space in front of the entrance. Final approval on design will happen at the June 17th Board Meeting, after which it will be sent to the State for approval with groundbreaking slated for September, 2027.
